Vegetarian day celebrations

The primary school kids of Shri Natesan Vidyasala MHSS., Mannivakkam, celebrated Vegetarian Day recently in their school campus.

The students of kindergarten dressed up like fruits, vegetables, nuts and spices presented a colourful sing-a-long show, singing songs on the significance of eating balanced meal.

Some children, dressed up like grandmas spoke about the importance of traditional ancient Indian medicinal herbs and the need to add them to the diet.

They also presented varieties of healthy vegetarian items like soups, juices, salads, sattu mavu urudai, that should be consumed compulsory as a part of diet.

Prof. R. Venkat Raman, HOD (Chemistry) MCC College, (Retd). Uma Gurumurthy, Vice Principal (Primary Wing) had made an elaborate arrangements along with the event co-ordinators, KG teachers and Primary Science teachers, along with art teachers Ranjani and Gnanamudra had organised the events to make the event a grand success.
